Once in a long while, a horse will come along that is irreplaceable. That is our horse, Scarlet. Seen here in 1993 with our grandson Cody, Scarlet helped him win the high point award at the Booger-Barter Arena in Victoria. Quite a feat for an elderly horse nearing 40. Scarlet still goes on trail rides with us too, always way out front and ahead of the pack. She has to be first, and will stride out to make sure she is -- a thrill for the young rider who is lucky enough to ride her.
